Ismail is cultural economist at the University of Manchester with interest in creative and cultural industries.He is the founding director of Cultura, an international advisory company on cultural industries that, among others, developed and organised the first Gastro Economy Summit of Turkey in Istanbul.He has worked with the Creative Economy Programme of the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development(UNCTAD) and UNESCO on various international projects on creative economy.
