Associate Professor Özge Samancı obtained her Ph.D. in History & Civilization from EHESS(Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) in Paris in 2009. Her studies and research focused on the modernization process of Ottoman-Turkish culinary culture, İstanbul Cuisine, Turkish Food culture and Ottoman-Turkish food historiography. Since 2017, she is the faculty member at School of Applied Sciences and Head of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department at Özyeğin University in Istanbul.
