Pinar Nacak

IZMIR COMMODITY EXCHANGE, ASS.SECRETARY GENERAL           

Pınar Nacak is an Agriculture Economist. She earned her degree at the Aegean University Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences. While continuing her academic studies, she has started to work as an expert in foreign trade dealing with export agricultural products. She has been working for the İzmir Commodity Exchange for the past 20 years in R&D. Her current position is Deputy Secretary General and as such she is focused on sustainable agricultural practices, food sovereignty, geographical indications, women farmers, local products, organic farming and rural development. She also sits as a panelist/ expert on a olive oil tasting panel. She is one of the founding members of Local Products & Geographical Indications Research Network in Turkey (YÜciTA). She is a guest lecturer on Rural Development at the University. Her future carrier plan is to be farmer.
