Master Distiller
Master distiller Priscilla Occhipinti started her apprenticeship under the supervision of her godfather, Gioacchino Nannoni, when she was still in her teens. She now makes grappas for Tuscany’s top wine estates including Ornellaia,Pergole Torte and Castello di Potentino. Since taking over the distillery in 2000, she has been awarded over 100 gold or double-gold medals for her grappas.
Attention to detail is at the heart of all the decisions within the distillery from the use of the freshest pomace to the manual cutting of the head and tail of each distillation, or the selection of the best barrels for the ageing of the aged riserva grappas. Her grappas are never adulterated by the use of added aromas.
The distillery is also environmentally-friendly: any pomace not distilled is used to heat the distillation, making use of an otherwise wasted source of energy.
